So much of Jo Malone London Christmas 2022 is about the packaging – snowballs and dots with frosted glass and sumptuous ribbons. I’ve noticed that the brand is doing TV advertising – we can turn the clock back only two or three years to see industry article after article on how social media advertising is more effective than TV. But this is the beginning of a turn around as brands realise they’re perhaps not reaching the right audience on social channels such as Instagram and u-turning back to traditional channels.
Jo Malone London Christmas 2022 features several limited edition frosted bottles – I’ve got Wild Bluebell here and it’s never not lovely whatever time of year, although I would press you to try White Moss & Snowdrop if you don’t already know it. It’s in the loveliest limited edition globe bottle and captures that frosty joy of a peeping of snowdrop. It’s wintery, but as far away from traditional winter scents as you can get – a melange of petitgrain, clementine, neroli and Snowdrops with a mossy, ambery base. You absolutely get a shot of snowdrop scent – that crisp, green note tinged with sweetness and you very much get the earthy notes of moss which are grounding and smooth. If anything will motivate you to get out on a winter walk to track down a real snowdrop, it’s this. It’s £115.
If you want the spots or the frosting, you need to look at the special editions . Best of all, orders over £130 receive a complimentary full size Blackberry & Bay hand wash and Jo Malone London hand washes are the treats of all treats (keep it!). Bear in mind that the circular box you see here is available in store only.
I mean, you can go as highly priced as your imagination takes you on Jo Malone London Christmas gifting – but I like the way that there are a few (relatively speaking) entry level offerings such as the cracker at £36, the Bauble, £32 or the Mini Candle Trio, £41.
