I can’t really recall when I last actively looked out a palette – I’ve got used to wearing far less make up that a palette seems like just too much effort. However, at £10 a shot, I’m drawn to these 10 shade palettes for giving me shades I don’t have in my (vast) collection. I’ve whittled it down a lot but still, some things I can’t part with, including my Urban Decay Sunset Palette which e.l.f.’s Rose Gold Sunset seems similar to.
There’s a smoky olive green that I am instantly taken with as well as a metallic pink that is stunning on the eye. I’ve worn those two shades together and they are wow! There’s no issue at all with intensity or last – both are great – and all in all this palette is very wearable indeed.
The colours swatched like they cost ten times the amount! Smooth, pigmented and luxurious in feel.
This one is a mystery – it’s called Every Day Smoky but it’s not coming up at e.l.f. Perhaps it’s on its way. I hope so because this really took me back to peak palette days when smoky was everything. I can picture myself in so many similar shades, black polo neck, tons of mascara – I don’t know why I don’t do that any more actually. But, I feel quite motivated by this palette so perhaps when autumn comes I can get back into that dark smoky look that I used to absolutely love. I’m sorry in advance that the swatch pictures aren’t great.
Wooo! Look at that pewter shade. I’ll flag it again (with a full eye look?!) when it becomes available. In the meantime, the Sunset palette.
