Isoclean Make Up Brush Carbon Cleanser Review

If you’re anything like me, make up brush cleansing just doesn’t happen as often as it should. Professional make-up artists are meticulous about cleansing their tools properly to avoid any contamination but most of use are using brushes that would send them into a spin :-).

This is a very handy kit to drop into your teen’s stocking as well as having one on hand for your own brushes. You simply wet your brush, swirl it over the carbon soap and work away and excess product on the nobbly matt which folds down to fit in the same tin as the soap.

It makes sense to do your best to inhibit microbial growth and they’re notoriously happy to live on make up brushes.

A good tip is not to over-wet your brush – you don’t want the soap to go too watery. I used this over the sink but trying to be mindful of turning the tap off rather than leaving it running. After you’ve picked up the activated carbon (to increase absorption) soap onto your brush by swirling, run it over the cleansing matt until you’ve picked up a good lather and then give it a quick rinse in warm water and leave to dry flat. I put mine on a tea towel. Isoclean has it for £12.50 but you may find better pricing if you Google.
