Honestly, at the price of £14 I think these liner/lipstick combos are really good value. Now that I’ve fully embraced the liner, I’m pleased to have them instead of thinking one half is wasted.
These two shades, Love Story and Perfect Match are very similar both off and on so I’ve got swatches. They’re part of Aimee’s wedding collection – at first I was sceptical but if you are really up for the minute wedding detail, you’re bridesmaid’s lipsticks will go together perfectly being just a nuance or two apart. In the wear, the lipsticks are soft and creamy – a very good level of pigment and I was impressed with the last. The finish is satin.
The bottom shade, which has a bit more pink to it, is Perfect Match, while the top, a bit more coral toned is Love Story.
This is Perfect Match.
This is Love Story. I haven’t blended the liner fully so you can see the contrast. It’s not how I would actually wear my liner ;-). I also think that they both look quite peachy on me – in the brand’s website swatches there is more definition in shades. I should add that feedback on the brand’s website on these has a few comments saying that the lipstick part breaks, as in the actual bullet of lipstick snaps in half. It might be that we had a super hot summer and that’s never good for any lipstick unless they’re in the fridge or it could be a quality control issue. I suggest buying from the Sculpted By Aimee website rather than Boots who can be tricky on returns. You can find the limited edition duo.
